Before and After - Hamptons Style

This grand 6 bedroom property in Box Hill was styled with one thing in mind - the seaside.

Its bright, welcoming, breezy, and spacious architecture makes it the perfect Hamptons home.

There is an immediate sense of serenity as you walk in and encounter the majestic ceiling with beautiful skylights showering the home with abundant natural light.

The living, kitchen and dining areas connect seamlessly with the outdoor through large glass doors and floor to ceiling windows. To allow the outdoor to pour in, we created a visual flow in each room and an interaction between interior and exterior styling by using a repetition of colours and coastal designs.

For the perfect beachy feel, we layered accessories with lots of texture - we used a less refined texture in the form of plantation styling using wicker coffee tables and bedside tables to feel intimate and grounded, and smooth textures such as Chinoserie accessories and mirrors to bring a sleeker more reserved tone.

We incorporated complimentary subtle colours of soft naturals, light grey and navy blue in the living areas to highlight the smooth light oak timber floors, and used coral and nautical artwork to highlight the crisp white walls.

For the bedrooms, we combined classic and sophisticated designs with chic and casual beach vibes featuring cool blues, pure whites and various shades of Hydrangeas - the signature flower of the Hamptons, to give that feeling of relaxation and rejuvenation.

Incorporating colours can add a lot of character in a room, but when it comes to coastal design, repetition is paramount.
